Dr. Mauro Silva joined Texas Digestive Specialists (TDS) in August 2024. Born and raised in El Paso, he brings a wealth of knowledge and skills to the RGV. Dr. Silva earned his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Masters degree in Public Health from UT Health Science Center in Houston, and received his Medical Doctorate from McGovern Medical School in Houston. Dr. Silva completed Internal Medicine residency training at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and he recently completed fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
Dr. Silva is fluent in English and Spanish and is available for consultations in our Harlingen and Brownsville offices.
