Daniel Saca, MD is a gastroenterologist and hepatologist with Texas Digestive Specialists, providing comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of digestive and liver conditions.
Dr. Saca earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baylor University before receiving his medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. He remained at the University of Illinois for his Internal Medicine Residency, where he went on to serve as Chief Resident.
He continued his advanced specialty training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, completing a fellowship in Transplant Hepatology and a fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Throughout his medical training, Dr. Saca has been recognized for his commitment to education and exceptional patient care. He was named Hepatology Fellow of the Year at Rush University Medical Center in 2024 and 2025. His academic work includes research and numerous publications involving liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, and other areas of digestive health.
Dr. Saca is fluent in both English and Spanish and is committed to providing thoughtful, evidence-based care while helping patients better understand and manage their digestive and liver health. Having visited family in the RGV many times throughout his life, he is excited to live here and proud to serve the amazing people here.
