Audrey Hinojosa, DNP, AGPCNPPediatric Gastroenterology
Audrey Hinojosa joined Texas Digestive Specialists in August 2026 as a Nurse Practitioner specializing in pediatric gastroenterology. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and helping patients better understand and manage their digestive health.
Audrey earned her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health from Texas A&M University in College Station before receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi. She continued her education at UTHealth Houston Cizik School of Nursing, where she earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care in 2026.
Before joining Texas Digestive Specialists, Audrey gained extensive clinical experience caring for patients in high-acuity settings. Her nursing background includes cardiovascular and trauma intensive care, as well as experience in neurological, medical, and cardiac intensive care units through travel nursing.
Audrey brings strong clinical assessment skills, evidence-based practice, and a passion for preventive healthcare and patient education to the TDS team. Her background in critical care has strengthened her ability to collaborate with healthcare teams, advocate for her patients, and provide thoughtful, individualized care.
Audrey is bilingual in English and Spanish, and is available to see patients in our McAllen and Harlingen pediatric locations.
